As part of its public heath charter and in response to growing concerns, the World Health Organization (WHO) introduced the International Electromagnetic Fields Project in 1996. This Project aims to assess the health and environmental effects caused by static or variable electric and magnetic fields in frequencies from 0 to 300 GHz.
