Meeting Radar Signature Design Objectives
RCS measurements are useful in determining the detectability of a potential target or the contrary, in the development of low-profile stealth devices or aircraft. Several factors can influence the RCS of an object such as the material it is made of, its size relative to wavelegth of the illuminating signal, the incident angle the signal is received, the reflected angle, or the polarisation of the transmitted and received radiation with respect to its orientation. RCS measurements require DUTs to be set on low-profile pylons to avoid interference and reflectivity from the support system in measurement results. MVG provides a selection of measurement solutions particularly suited for RCS testing including light-duty to heavy-duty RCS pylons.
