MVG webinar - The Challenges of Delivering Large Anechoic Chambers for Testing Large EUTs

发表于 07/04/2020 16:00:00

Many chambers for EMC, antenna, RF and uWave testing are able to be installed in existing host buildings without any issues. However, when the chamber is especially large, and/or there is a large EUT, many challenges can arise during the delivery and installation of the chamber. These issues are not fully in the domain of the chamber supplier, and many require close interaction with the end customer. During this presentation, we will overview a number of these issues, such as interfacing to host building services, floor load capacity, chamber access, integrating turntables (and other systems), and anechoic design, showing the challenges which can be faced and, how they can be overcome.

Speaker: Paul Duxbury

After gaining his BEng(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1995, which included a year working in the RF Free Field group at the National Physical Laboratory in the UK, Paul got his grounding in EMC test and measurement while at BSI Testing and then IFR (formally Marconi Instruments). This was followed by time with Flomerics and CST, working on electromagnetic simulation for EMC and antenna applications, with a particular emphasis on EMC modeling. Paul is a member of the IET and IEEE and, with his over 20 years of experience in EMC and antenna measurements and simulation, has been at MVG|EMC since 2012 with responsibility for the European Sales.
