Radome Measurement

Radomes are protective enclosures designed to shield antennas from environmental factors while allowing radio frequency (RF) signals to pass through with minimal interference. They also provide structural support, efficiently housing the antennas without compromising their electromagnetic performance.

Radomes must be tested to ensure they preserve antenna functionality by minimizing adverse effects such as Antenna Electrical Boresight (AEB) deviation, Boresight Shift Error and Slope (BSES), as well as transmission loss and phase distortion.

Radome Measurement

Testing Radomes for Defense Applications

Radome measurement is essential for characterizing the impact of a radome on the radiation pattern of an antenna, most often a radar antenna.

MVG offers advanced radome measurement technology, combining high precision, reliability, and speed to support demanding applications. Our turnkey solution includes a compact range and positioning system, with RF capabilities and advanced software integration —designed to support the testing of radomes of a wide variety of antenna techniques:  monopulse, multi-port magnitude, phase comparison, AESA and more.

MVG’s Radome Measurement Systems address these critical challenges by offering fast, reliable, and highly accurate measurement facilities to meet the stringent requirements of the defense industry.
